SKiN101 Abuja is a full spectrum cosmetic medical facility with a medspa, dermatology clinic, plastic surgery unit and Beauty Therapy Institute (BTI Abuja) all under one roof. (Yes! that’s where I currently work).
Our focus is diagnosing and treating cosmetic and non-cosmetic skin conditions in all ages and also to improve and enhance physical appearance. Everyone deserves to look good and feel good, don’t you think so?.
I joined the team in August 2019 (the new job I mentioned in this post) as an aesthetic physician and using the latest technology and science, we meet even the most difficult needs in the most difficult cases.
“Who is an Aesthetic Physician?” that’s probably the question going through your head now. Don’t worry, I’ll save you the quick google search.
Aesthetic physicians or Aesthetic doctors offer elective non-invasive and minimally-invasive procedures such as botulinum toxin injection (Botox), dermal fillers, chemical peels, various lasers and PRP procedures, etc. They are general practitioners who train(ed) in the field of Aesthetic medicine in post-graduate level.
Aesthetic medicine is an extensively broad term for medical specialties that focus on improving cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions to significantly improve quality of life, psychological wellbeing and social engagement. We don’t just pop pimples, take note Ilham! Lol
SKiN101 Abuja came into existence in 2015 and after 4 years of operating as an aesthetic clinic and medspa, they expanded and moved to a new location in Maitama hence the opening.
Everyone who knows me (online or in-person) can tell that I was made for Aesthetic medicine. From the kid making avocado and cucumber face masks at home, to the blogger reviewing skincare products, to the Founder of a brand + skincare store and now a practicing aesthetic doctor, it’s been a journey. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and this is only the beginning.
This opening was a way of appreciating our clients, introducing more people to the world of Aesthetic medicine and our all-in-one facility through facility tours, good music, food, drinks and a great time discussing skin.
