Happy new year! This year, lets ensure work style isn’t boring but I must admit, I wear boring work clothes sometimes to my government job. If you’ve ever worked in a Nigerian government office, you’ll probably understand why. You don’t have to be like me especially if you work in a more fun place, you can try something similar to my unconventional work style outfit.
What I like most about this particular unconventional work style outfit is that it isn’t far from the conventional ones but it’s stylish enough for you to stand out. This look can fit in my current 9-5 job but wouldn’t even make it out of the wardrobe while I was still here.
This skirt set is called the Grebe 2 piece and it’s one of the work style/semi formal pieces from Aura By Divalukky. As someone who doesn’t like pink color, I was glad this color was a pastel color and more of blush than actual pink. That’s the only way I could rock it comfortably. Yeah, that’s how much I stay away from pink color. It took me years to finally start wearing pink/fuchsia lipsticks.
Do you have colors that you never buy or wear? I can’t be the only one. Fun fact: I’ve been wearing high neck clothes a lot to avoid buying or wearing jewelry, lol. For a while now, I get uncomfortable wearing neck pieces, necklaces or anything on my neck really.
I can totally see myself rocking lots of buttoned up outfits including the style in this unconventional work style outfit just to avoid having to think of “what to wear on my neck now”.

To be honest, it’s very easy to dress in a boring way to work – especially if you prefer comfort. But the truth is, if everything in your wardrobe stands out, then there should be no boring days, right?

Beautiful outfit!! Wearing high neck pieces still work with necklaces too by the way! I worked at a government office during my youth Corp days and I remember being glad that I was required to wear my uniform every day I was there cos I’m the least fashionable person on earth! But listen, this color is great on u and I bet you know that already!!! Gorgeous photos!
