Style is eternal according to Yves Saint Laurent

According to Yves Saint Laurent, fashion fades but style is eternal! You must have seen this phrase a lot of times, used it for some of your fashion quote compilations or taken inspiration from it for your own style posts but did you know that the notion reflects in their collections as well?
 The Saint Laurent Collection on Farfetch is proof of that, while the prices aren’t in everyone’s price range, you can’t deny that the designer has a lot of evergreen pieces. No matter how fashion evolves over the years, those pieces would always remain a vital piece of your wardrobe, from a jacket/blazer with front button fastening and peaked lapels to the pointed toe high stiletto heels, we all need a pair of those.

The Bowes Museum and the Foundation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent are collaborating to create Yves Saint Laurent: Style is Eternal, which will be presenting a comprehensive display of the French fashion designer’s work and life. The YSL show will highlight the defining elements of his vision, and the significant influence it has had on fashion and the way we understand womenswear.

Do you remember my outfit – Ain’t Laurent without Yves. where the wind totally messed up my hat? Well, if i had to recreate that look with actual Yves Saint Laurent pieces to a more classic look, I would style it with the Iconic jacket and here is how i would style it.

I chose this classic look because it would forever remain in style and not for the legal and business world alone. Black and white are two colors that never go out style. While you might be tempted to choose sparkly and fancy materials, the classic leather is always the better option when going for heels that would serve you well. If all black isn’t your thing, you could always add a little color, red is the classic black and white companion and as a fashion and beauty enthusiast, it’s only natural to complete the look with a lipstick pin.
