The Ruby Kisses fuchsia fierce lipstick is the latest in my lipstick collection. I’m no makeup artist or a beauty guru by any means but applying lipstick is like art to me, i like to be precise to get the edges as smooth as possible because I love the way lipsticks accentuate the lips.
I usually mix my lipsticks but for the sake of this post i didn’t mix this fuchsia fierce with any other lipstick. If you haven’t noticed from previous posts, you can get a closer look of my mixed lipsticks in this post, continue till the end of the post to see some of the lipsticks and liners i use.
I haven’t always been a big fan of anything pink as you already know but somehow I’ve found myself using fuchsia more and more by the day and somehow i’m beginning to really like the color.
This lipstick which i got from Mariana of
Dopeplanet came just at the right time because my old Avon matte fuchsia is fast heading to the finish line, though they are not exactly the same shade but with a little mixture with my other red shades, i can get the same shade.
I totally enjoyed taking photos of this lipstick because of how beautiful it looked, i just wanted to keep taking more photos, maybe because i miss taking outdoor photos thanks to the crazy cold weather, my kitchen is where i get the most direct natural light so it has become my spot for practicing my selfies (you know how terrible i am at it) and taking photos for my beauty reviews 🙂 anyways back to the actual review…
Reasons I Like It..
* Bright color which brightens every look.
* Has a matte finish (i’m not a fan of glossy lips).
* Really affordable (less than $10)
My main and only problem with it…
*You need to really moisturize your lips before applying it and re-moisturize after about 3-4 hours or depending on how long your lip moisturizer lasts, if not – the lipstick cakes and doesn’t look good any more. I currently use
the limited edition Eos lip balm which lasts about 3-4 hours before completely drying up depending on how harsh the weather is. I bought it through dopeplanet as well.
Verdict: If you are looking for a fuchsia lipstick that’s really affordable ($4 -$6) and leaves a matte finish then you should try it but don’t expect to get the same quality and long wear as Mac or other top rated and more expensive matte lipsticks.
The photo above shows my 3 most used lip colors: Gabrini, Ruby woo and the newest fuchsia. The liners are from cascade of colors which is popularly used by makeup artists here.
Short info about Dopeplanet: They help Ukraine residents to order/buy products from all Usa websites which do not usually accept international cards, offer international deliveries or have very high shipping rates. They order/sell these products at affordable prices which you wouldn’t usually get if you were getting direct deliveries.
Lipstick: c/o Dopeplanet, also available online on Amazon || Ebay || Samsbeauty and many other stores. Blanket Scarf: Zara
