Ankara Full Maxi Skirt

blogger modavracha Happy Sunday lovelies! I’m no stranger to the Ankara full maxi skirt or African print outfits in general. If you’ve been following me long enough, you would remember my Ankara outfits.

I’ve been obsessed with these long Ankara full skirt styles so i decided to try one myself. Technically, this skirt is a dress but since i didn’t have the skirt but i had an old dress i wasn’t wearing which had same waist style, i cut it from the waist and converted it to a skirt by myself. Hope i did a good job.ankara maxi skirt style

ankara maxi skirtI love that this type of skirts can be styled with different types of tops; crop, knotted, shirts, blouses, etc.
The one secret to rocking a long African prints maxi skirt is keeping every other thing as plain and simple as you can to really get the focus on the beautiful prints and avoid looking like a walking circus.latest ankara stylesankara long skirt, african long skirt style, ankara long skirt style, modern african fashion2015 ankara skirt styleI like these looks by Stella of Jadore-fashion , Grace of My Style Diary and Folake of Style Pantry.Printed full skirtsankara full skirt style In church today, the choir sang one of my favorite gospel songs by Sinach and i thought to share it with you because this song always lifts my spirit.

We are a chosen generation called forth to show His excellence,
All I require for life, God has given me and I know who I am
I know who God says I am, What He says I am, Where He says I’m at, I know who I am
I’m walking in power, I’m walking in miracles, I live a life of favor,’cause I know who I am
Take a look at me, I’m a wonder,It doesn’t matter what you see now,Can you see His glory?
‘Cause I know who I am!

Gorgeous! You did a great job making it into a skirt. And you’re right – pattern mixing on this one would be OTT! Looks great with the knotted tee. Simply lovely.

GIRL. So glad I found your blog tonight! First of all, I’m super impressed that you made this skirt out of a dress and wish I had the same kind of skill because I wouldn’t even know where to start! Second of all, I love that gospel song and I’m really glad you shared it. Those lyrics are amazing!! I followed you on bloglovin’ so I could keep up with your latest posts. I would love if you stopped by and followed along as well!
